Make your bright idea a reality at ATSAHack

12th September, 2016

ATSAHack is coming

Sick of your work processes? Feel like there’s a better way to get things done? Got an idea for a tool or service that could change the accounting industry? Now you can make it happen at ATSAHack.

Tell us your idea for a new accounting tool, product or service, and we might just make it at ATSA in Melbourne this October.

What is ATSAHack?

To answer, let’s clear something up straight away – ATSAHack isn’t about breaking into servers or stealing personal details. That’s the naughty type of hacking.

This is the good type of hacking where a bunch of people get together to bring an idea to life, usually in a short agreed-upon timeframe. Companies the world over use internal hackathons to innovate, including Google, Twitter, Microsoft, MYOB and Facebook – whose ‘like’ button came out of one such hack session.

ATSAHack is a first for accounting conferences. It’s your opportunity to dream large. Don’t leave it up to companies like MYOB to shape the accounting industry – do it yourself with your awesome idea.

We’ll narrow the submissions down to five. MYOB CEO Tim Reed will announce those five submissions during his keynote at ATSA on day one. The audience will select their favourite three ideas, and 50 of MYOB’s developers will bring those ideas to life at the event over the following two days.

ATSA attendees are encouraged to hang out with the developers at #TheHackStand, providing input and observing just what it takes to bring innovative ideas to life.

Get involved in ATSAHack today

Email your idea to TheHackStand@myob.com. Make sure your details are in the email, in case we need to follow up on anything.

If your submission makes the final five, you’ll join MYOB’s technology lead Simon Raik-Allen on a tour of the new Richmond innovation hub. We’ll feed you, caffeinate you, and show you how some of Australia’s brightest developer minds turn truly mind blowing ideas into reality.
