MYOB Partner Awards 2023: Celebrating the winners

MYOB this week welcomed our amazing MYOB Partner Awards 2023 winners to our head office in Melbourne for a day of celebration, insights, and workshops.

The champions of our MYOB Partner Awards 2023 were recognised for their outstanding efforts to help businesses start, survive and succeed.

This year’s major awards went to Mead Partners Chartered Accountants for Australian Accounting Practice of the Year.

Secondly, Greenspace Bookkeeping Pty Ltd won Australian Bookkeeping Practice of the Year.

Finally, Leumas Accounting Pty Ltd was named Australia’s Certified Consultant of the Year.

Also, after an exclusive dinner for all award winners the previous evening, the day’s activities included a tour of the MYOB facilities and several workshops where the Partner Awards winners were given access to MYOB experts across a range of topics and fields.

MYOB Partner Awards

The 15th edition of the MYOB Partner Awards introduced two new categories in 2023.

Firstly, the Emerging Leaders Award was secured by Lhands Consulting as a celebration of their status and early achievements in the accounting and bookkeeping industry.

Also, the Partners SME Client of the Year award went to Walkers Plant Maintenance for embracing digital adoption

Bookkeeping Practice of the Year Australia winner: Greenspace Bookkeeping Pty Ltd

Certified Consultant of the Year Australia winner: Leumas Accounting Pty Ltd

Education Partner of the Year winner: University of Wollongong

Educator of the Year: Inna Kazakevich – Swinburne University of Technology VET

Additionally, John Pititto, Mead Partners Managing Partner says, “it’s an honour to be recognised by MYOB for our efforts and is great justification for our move to a 100% cloud-based solution which helped us future proof our practice.

“Thanks to the efficiencies achieved through the GreatSoft, Nimbus and ATO Mate integration, it has improved our capacity and allowed one of our senior admin team members to shift to a 4-day week model.”

In addition to the $60,000 worth of major prizes, which include VIP invitations, flights and accommodation to a luxurious private dinner, exclusive workshops and vouchers, MYOB also celebrates the loyalty of its longest-standing Partners with its annual Service Awards.

Indeed, these highlight the individual Certified Consultants who have reached 10, 15, 20 or 25 year milestones as MYOB Partners. 

Also, 2022 winner Sue Inkersell from 3rd Arm Admin says she was “blown away in how special it made me feel! From the dinner that provided great laughs, networking and the opportunity to meet the Executives, to the workshop where I learnt heaps and couldn’t believe the variety of content.”

New Zealand Partner Award winners

Accounting practice of the year

Firstly, Buller Chartered Accountants won the New Zealand Accounting Practice of the Year.

Buller Chartered Accountants director, Gareth Allen, says: “This is the first time our firm has been nominated for MYOB Practice of the year so to win this was a great achievement.

“We are a small-town chartered accountancy firm very much involved in the community and take pride in our profession. We enjoy working alongside our clients to grow successful business.”

Bookkeeping practice of the year

Secondly, Mobile Bookkeeping & Training Services won the New Zealand Bookkeeping Practice of the Year.

The West Auckland based business works a lot with local tradespeople and their suppliers.

Accordingly, Debbie Vihi of Mobile Bookkeeping & Training Services says winning the award has been amazing.

“To receive this recognition from MYOB just makes everything we do day-in and day-out really special,” Debbie says.

Certified consultant of the year

Finally, Lincoln-based Laura Mason of Team Bookkeeping Ltd won Certified Consultant of the Year.

Laura works with clients across Akaroa, the Selwyn District and Ashburton, and says she’s elated to win the award.

“I think ‘chuffed’ would be the word I’d use to describe being recognised for all the hard work,” Laura says.

“But I couldn’t have done it without the support of MYOB’s Partner Support team and my amazing clients.”

About the MYOB Partner Awards

The MYOB Partner Awards run across Australia and New Zealand and span eight categories.

The MYOB Partner Awards 2023 were judged by a panel of MYOB executives, including CEO Paul Robson, CFO Caroline Rawlinson and General Manager – SME Emma Fawcett, who spoke in glowing terms on the quality of nominations in 2023.

“MYOB’s network of partner accountants and bookkeepers is incredible,” Emma says.

“It was no easy task to separate our winners. We wish to congratulate all our 2023 champions along with everyone on the very deserving list of nominations. We’d also like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire MYOB Partner network for their ongoing and passionate commitment.”
