In the tank: supporting Aussie and Kiwi startups

Beneath the surface of MYOB’s new relationship with Shark Tank lies a larger focus to support Aussie and Kiwi entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Shark Tank has splashed down on Channel Ten, and those watching might notice a familiar brand appearing multiple times throughout the season.

It’s all part of a partnership that MYOB has signed, which will also see Boost Juice founder, Shark Tank judge and MYOB customer Janine Allis appearing in MYOB television commercials.

Shark Tank gives entrepreneurs the chance to pitch for a life-changing business investment, and provides countless others with tips and advice to take their passion and turn it into a business — and that’s something we’re proud to back.

As part of the partnership MYOB is also offering new Australian customers a chance to win one of 13 seats at a lunch with Janine Allis, Founder of Boost Juice, yet another way of providing businesses a boost.

Head of Brand and Communications for MYOB, Ben Lemon told The Pulse there is great entrepreneurial appetite in Australia and New Zealand, creating a clear case to champion the startup community.

“The world is being disrupted, with the best technology at our fingertips driving amazing opportunities,” Lemon said.

“As the original startup, MYOB is in a unique position to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs with the ambition and drive to strike out on their own.”
